SHELBIANA, Ky. — Three people were arrested following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon near Shelbiana.
A state trooper pulled over a GMC Sierra for what he said in his report were multiple traffic violations. When he spoke to the driver, identified as Clarence Kilgore, 50, of Ashcamp, he noticed he appeared to be under the influence of something.
After showing signs of impairment during a field sobriety test, Kilgore was arrested and the officer searched the vehicle, finding more than 2 grams of heroin, a small amount of meth, more than $4,000 in cash, and various types of drug paraphernalia.
Neither Kilgore nor the two other occupants of the car, identified as Brooke Scroggins, 39, of Elkhorn City, and Anthony Coleman, 35, of Lookout, would claim ownership of the drugs, so all three were arrested for heroin trafficking, meth possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kilgore was also charged with DUI and numerous traffic violations.
