Attorneys for Spradlin’s family meet with Prestonsburg, Floyd County to discuss 911

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Attorneys representing the family of Amber Spradlin, the Prestonsburg woman who was found murdered June 18 at the Arkansas Creek home of Dr. Michael McKinney, had a private meeting with the city of Prestonsburg and Floyd County Fiscal Court to discuss the performance of the Prestonsburg 911 center during that incident.

In a statement released after the meeting, attorney Mark Wohlander says the family now has better information about the calls that came from McKinney’s home that morning.

“Though we still have questions regarding the incident, we are focused on ensuring Amber’s killer or killers are brought to justice and prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” Wohlander said. “Therefore, we will not release any further information at this time.”
