ELKHORN CITY, Ky. — Kentucky State Police is investigating after the body of a missing Virginia man was found in Pike County.

Elkhorn City Police notified KSP Wednesday, after a man’s body was found in the creek along Big Branch Road.

The body has been identified as Adam Stanley, 49, of Haysi. He had been reported as missing and had last been seen May 31.

Police say the cause of death remains under investigation.
