Police arrest man wanted in human trafficking case

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A Martin County man who had been wanted by Kentucky State Police to answer for human trafficking charges has been arrested.

Dustin Newsome, 34, of Debord, was booked in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville Monday night.

Specific allegations against him are not yet available, but court records indicate he is charged with five counts of failing to report human trafficking and one count of engaging in organized crime in Johnson County.
