The Lawrence County Bulldogs came up just short Monday night, falling 4-3 to Boyd County in a hard-fought soccer matchup.
Senior standout Aiden Mynhier carried the offense, netting all three goals for the Bulldogs. Jacob Sanabria added an assist, while goalkeeper Cole Robinette turned in a busy night with 10 saves.
Still, the Lions broke through enough times to seal the victory.
The setback dropped Lawrence County to 2-6 on the season. The Bulldogs return home tonight to host Shelby Valley, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m.
In other action across the region, Belfry rolled past Paintsville 8-1, while Prestonsburg dominated Bath County 11-0.
