County Attorney Howard Keith Hall resigns

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Pike County Attorney Howard Keith Hall is stepping down.

At Tuesday’s meeting of the Pike County Fiscal Court, Hall tendered his resignation to the court, effective Aug. 24.

Hall is currently running for Pike circuit judge to fill the seat left vacant following the death of Pike Circuit Judge Steve Combs.

Hall, a staple of Pike County politics, is expected to be succeeded by Assistant County Attorney Kevin Keene. Pike Judge-Executive Ray Jones said during Tuesday’s meeting that he will likely appoint Keene to fill the post.
