BOYS SOCCER: Pirates Sink Hawks in 8-0 Rout & Area Scores

The Belfry Pirates overwhelmed Pike Central on Monday night, rolling to an 8-0 shutout win.

Noah Hale and Adam Kimble led the offensive surge with two goals apiece, while Tucker Slone, Ashton Evans, Bryce Kohari and Mason Young each added a goal. Jaxson Baldwin, along with Evans, Slone and Hale, chipped in with assists.

Defensively, goalkeeper Sawyer Heiflin stopped eight shots on frame, while Kimble added a save of his own to preserve the clean sheet.

On the season, Hale now has five goals, Kimble and Evans each sit at eight, Slone has three, while Kohari and Young have one apiece.

The win lifts Belfry to 6-6 overall, while Pike Central falls to 5-8. The Pirates will host Harlan County on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Hawks are back in action tonight at Paintsville, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m.

Elsewhere in boys soccer on Monday night, Letcher Central topped Jenkins 9-1, while Paintsville blanked Shelby Valley 8-0.
