Pike County Central High School has announced a major addition to its athletics staff, naming Kaitlyn Conn as the new head coach of the girls volleyball program.

Conn, a Paintsville alum, brings an impressive playing résumé to the role. She served as a team captain, earned multiple All “A” State Tournament appearances, received All-Region honors and competed in several of the state’s top camps and tournaments throughout her career.

In addition to her playing background, Conn has several years of coaching experience at the youth and middle school levels. School officials believe her combination of skill, leadership and player development experience makes her a strong fit to guide the program forward.

Pike Central finished last season 15–19 and graduated seven seniors, creating an opportunity for a young roster to grow under new direction.
