PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man has entered a guilty plea in his federal drug case.

Casey Collins, 39, of Frozen Creek, appeared in court Monday, where he pleaded guilty to possession of meth and fentanyl with the intent to distribute.

In his plea agreement, he admitted to having 228 grams of meth and nearly 42 grams of fentanyl in his possession when sheriff’s deputies raided a Floyd County home where he was staying last April. He also admitted that he intended to sell the drugs, and that he had sold drugs to undercover informants on four occasions in Pike and Floyd counties.

In exchange for his plea, prosecutors have agreed to drop four drug trafficking counts.

Collins now faces between five and 40 years in prison when he is sentenced in July.
