IVEL, Ky. — What started as an attempt to arrest a suspect on an outstanding warrant turned into a drug trafficking charges for two Johnson County residents.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling in Ivel on Friday when they spotted Larry Robinette, 42, of Staffordsville, who they knew to be wanted. When they stopped him, however, they discovered what they described as a large amount of fentanyl packaged for sale, as well as a smaller amount of meth.
Robinette and Penny Thacker, 42, also of Staffordsville, were arrested and charged with aggravated drug trafficking and meth possession.
