Beshear announces lottery for vaccinated Kentuckians

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentuckians who are still on the fence about getting one of the COVID-19 vaccines now have a million more reasons to do so.

Gov. Andy Beshear announced Friday that the vaccines he calls a “shot of hope” now offer residents a “shot at a million.”

Three vaccinated Kentucky adults will win $1 million in a series of drawings, beginning July 1. In addition, 15 Kentuckians between the ages of 12 and 17 who have been vaccinated will win full-ride scholarships to any public college, university or technical school in the state.

To get in on the drawings, you must first be vaccinated. Then, simply go to shotatamillion.ky.gov to enter.

Drawings will take place July 1, July 29 and Aug. 26. Those who are vaccinated and register before the first drawing will be entered into all three drawings.
