FRANKFORT, Ky. — Eastern Kentucky’s two Democratic lawmakers will face Republican competition in this year’s election.

In the 94th District, Brandon Edwards, of Baxter, and Jacob Justice, of Elkhorn City, will face each other in May for the right to take on Rep. Angie Hatton.

Meanwhile, in the 95th District, Rep. Ashley Tackett Laferty will await the outcome of a Republican contest between David Kelly Pennington and Brandon Spencer, both of Prestonsburg.

92nd District Rep. John Blanton is likely assured of another term, as he drew no competition in either the primary or general elections.
