
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A man who has been arrested on drug charges in Pike and Floyd counties several times over the past couple of years is now facing federal charges.
Casey Larue Collins, 39, of Betsy Layne, was indicted by a federal grand jury on Friday. He is charged with distributing fentanyl in Floyd County on three occasions in October and November of last year, distributing meth and fentanyl in Pike County in February, and possession of more than 50 grams of meth and more than 40 grams of fentanyl with the intent to distribute back in April.
If convicted, Collins faces a potential sentence of between five and 40 years in prison.
He is currently being held in the Floyd County jail.
