Family of man missing for a month holding onto hope

June 24th made a month since anyone has seen or heard from 41 year old Adam McCoy of Edmonton, Kentucky.  McCoy, who is originally from Floyd County, left his home on the evening of May 24th after an alleged fight with his wife.  Family members say he frequently returns to the area to visit family, but they haven’t had any contact with him since that night.  Adam’s sister told Mountain Top Media’s Shannon Deskins that since he has been missing, Adam has missed his child’s sixth birthday, the birth of his first grandchild and his own birthday.

The Sheriff’s Office in Metcalf County is conducting the missing person investigation, and have reached out to media outlets in eastern Kentucky to help get the word out.  Adam McCoy is 42 years old, is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 190lbs.  He was last seen driving a 1984 GMC black and gray truck with the license place number 251 YZC.  Anyone with any information as to Adam’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Metcalf County Sheriff’s Office at (270)432-3041 or the Kentucky State Police in Columbia at (270)384-4796.
