Officials announce new case of COVID-19 in Pike County.

In a press conference this morning at the Pike County Court House, Judge Executive Ray S. Jones gave an update on the Covid-19 situation in the county. Jones reported that 97 Covid -19 test in the county with 5 cases positive. The most recent case is a 62-year-old male that is currently hospitalized at on a ventilator. That is the case that was mentioned at a press conference last night in Floyd County who had a Floyd County P.O. Box but actually lived in Pike County.
Other cases in the county include a 28-year-old male who is isolated at home. A 78-year-old female in the hospital at Tug Valley ARH and a 69 year old male at his home.

Judge Jones again stresses the importance of social distances and we a still 3 to 5 weeks away from the peak of the spread of this disease in this area. Please stay tuned to our Facebook and website for more details.
