Pikeville, Ky: The Pikeville Police Department received a tip of suspected marijuana trafficking in Pikeville. While investigating, 19-year-old Harley D. Seal, of Hebron, allegedly admitted to selling marijuana. According to police, Seal told them he had a little over a pound inside his residence on Poplar Street in Pikeville. Seal allegedly took officers inside his bedroom and showed them a safe containing seventeen individual plastic bags weighing around an ounce each. Along with the sandwich bags in the safe, police also found a sandwich bag containing four yellow bar shaped pills and fourteen blue round pills. Over 300-dollars in cash was also found inside the residence. Harley Seal was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana and third-degree possession. He was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
In an unrelated case, Seal’s father, 49-year-old Troy D. Seal of Pikeville,was arrested two days later and charged with public intoxication, theft by unlawful taking, burglary and criminal mischief. Seal was allegedly found in an abandoned building using a metal bar to pry open an electrical box. A bag was found outside of the building containing several large pieces of wire, sunglasses, a box of Slim Jim’s and door knobs. Seal was allegedly seen inside Speedway earlier that day. After contacting employees, they told police Seal was in the store but didn’t purchase anything. He was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
