A new positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Eastern Kentucky, but the subject’s information and residence have yet been released.
At a press conference held at the Mountain Arts Center on April 9, 2020, Floyd County Health Department Director Thursa Sloan announced a new positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed, but mentioned that the individual has a P.O. Box in Floyd County, yet lives in a different county.
“When we contacted the misreported case, we were able to track down the fact that we received a P.O. Box address for the client and the person’s physical address is in fact another county,” states Sloan. “We’re not going to address that here because we are going to allow that county to take that case because we’re trying really hard to deliver the Governor correct and accurate numbers.”
We will continue to provide COVID-19 updates on our website and Facebook page as more information becomes available.
