EASTERN, Ky. — Anonymous tips led Floyd County deputies to make a heroin-trafficking arrest.

Deputies had received several tips alleging that Gary Mitchell Combs, 37, of Eastern, was selling drugs, so they got a search warrant and headed to his Goose Creek house. Combs was found at home and was immediately arrested for an active bench warrant.

Deputies then found four plastic bags of heroin, along with several other types of drugs, three guns and trafficking paraphernalia.

Combs was arrested and charged with heroin trafficking, four counts of drug possession and other charges.

But he found even more trouble after he was arrested. Deputies say he was seen slipping his handcuffs from his back to his front three times and was once seen trying to get into the front seat, earning him an additional charge of third-degree escape.
