PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pikeville man has pleaded guilty to federal charges involving armed drug trafficking in Floyd County.

Joshua “Fudge” Habern, 41, pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of possession of more than 50 grams of meth and more than 40 grams of fentanyl with the intent to distribute and possession of a gun in a drug-trafficking crime.

In his plea agreement, Habern admitted to having 133 grams of meth, along with three rifles, seven pistols and a shotgun when police raided his bedroom last June. He further admitted to having 45 grams of fentanyl in his possession when police arrested him.

Habern now faces between five and 40 years in prison for each of the drug charges. In addition, any sentence he receives for the gun charge will be added to the drug sentences, meaning he faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life.

Habern will be sentenced May 16, in Lexington.
