DWALE, Ky. — A Floyd County man out of jail after pleading guilty to drug charges back in June was arrested on Friday for drug trafficking.
Keith Webb, 49, of Dwale, was indicted for meth trafficking last year, but pleaded guilty to possession instead and received a three-year suspended sentence.
On Thanksgiving, deputies were tipped that he had been seen going to a known drug dealer’s home, so they went to check it out. A deputy spotted him driving and attempted to pull him over, but the police report alleges Webb gave the officer the middle finger and took off.
That started a pursuit leading toward Webb’s home, which resulted in him jumping out of the car and running away once he got into Dwale. Police were not able to find him.
Inside the car, deputies found 72 grams of meth, which they believe he intended to sell.
After checking his house several times over the next few hours, he was finally found at home at 3 in the morning and was arrested. During that arrest, police seized a bag of fentanyl.
Webb now faces charges of meth and fentanyl trafficking, fleeing police, wanton endangerment and other charges.
