A state trooper pulled over Christopher Saylor, 53, of Harold, after he saw him nearly hit a school bus while making a lane change on U.S. 23 near Allen.

Once he was stopped, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the car, and Saylor reportedly admitted to having a small amount. That prompted a search of the truck, which turned up more than 80 grams of marijuana, a quarter-gram of fentanyl, 4 grams of cocaine and 20 grams of psychedelic mushrooms.

Saylor reportedly tried to explain the drugs, saying he wasn’t trafficking, but just doing a favor for a friend by picking them up in Prestonsburg and delivering them to him. However, “trafficking” doesn’t just mean selling drugs, but also manufacturing, distributing or dispensing drugs.

Saylor was arrested and charged with four counts of drug trafficking. He is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
