PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Prestonsburg man has been arrested in California, after allegedly violating the terms of his release from prison on child pornography charges.

Back in 2015, Larry Vance, 33, was convicted in U.S. District Court in Chattanooga, Tenn., of distributing a pornographic video featuring a child. Information from the Kentucky sex offender registry indicates the victim was 4 years old.

Vance was sentenced to 70 months in prison, and was released in August 2019.

Court records indicate he is now accused of not complying with a sex offender mental health program and of failing to report to his probation officer. The probation office is now recommending he be sent back to prison.

His fate will be decided by a federal judge in Pikeville.
