
ELKHORN CITY, Ky. — A Floyd County woman was arrested for trafficking in meth and fentanyl, following a traffic stop in Pike County.
Police pulled over a car on Jackson Branch Road, after noticing the driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt. Karen Isaac, 53, of Melvin, was driving the vehicle, with a juvenile passenger.
Officers immediately detected the scent of marijuana and brought in a police dog to sniff around the car. That resulted in the discovery of a bag containing more than 2 grams of meth and more than 28 grams of fentanyl hidden in the tire compartment.
Isaac was arrested and charged with importing fentanyl, aggravated trafficking of fentanyl and meth trafficking. She is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
