VARNEY, W.Va. — A Mingo County man is in jail, after police say he stole a van from his grandmother’s home.

Stephen Andrew Thomasson, 29, was arrested Saturday, after the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office asked the public for tips as to his location.

He is charged with felony larceny in the case.

He was also charged in outstanding warrants for another incident that occurred on Tuesday. Those charges include burglary, petit larceny, assault and brandishing a weapon.

He is being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail, in Holden, on a $25,000 bond.
