PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Floyd County woman was arrested on drug trafficking charges after being pulled over in a traffic stop.

A Pikeville Police officer spotted Susan Rae Akers, 43, of Harold, driving through Pikeville Friday afternoon and knew that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

When he explained the reason for the stop and asked her to step out, he saw her push a black bag into the the back floor. Investigating, he found the bag to contain several individual plastic bags of meth, along with glass pipes and bag of marijuana. He found more bags of meth and a pill in her pockets.

Akers was charged with meth trafficking and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
