LOVELY, Ky. — Four people have been arrested in connection with an attack in Martin County over the weekend.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Zip Zone at Lovely sometime after 3 a.m. Saturday, after three men entered the business and beat another man.
A woman who was with the victim reportedly left the store, but was assaulted by another woman in the parking lot.
Deputies reviewed surveillance video and identified the suspects as Corey Lester, 20; Douglas Hatfield, 18; and Katie Mahon, 21, all of South Williamson; and 20-year-old Nathaniel Hamilton, of Delbarton.
Deputies say Hamilton brandished a firearm during incident and shot the victim’s car.
Warrants for all four were obtained and they were arrested on Tuesday. All four have been charged with second-degree assault, which is a felony punishable by 5-to-10 years in prison.
Lester, Hatfield and Mahon were all lodged the Big Sandy Detention Center in Paintsville.
Hamilton was arrested when he appeared in a West Virginia courtroom to answer charges in an unrelated case in which he is accused of assaulting his mother.
