GIRLS SOCCER: PRESTONSBURG PICKS UP WIN AGAINST MORGAN COUNTY

The Prestonsburg Lady Blackcats picked up a hard-fought win at home Wednesday, defeating Morgan County 4-3.

Senior standout Jade Fitzpatrick led Prestonsburg with all four goals. Kendall Stephens and Paisly Slone each had an assist.

Goalkeeper Adrionna Layne made nine saves and allowed three goals.

The win brings Prestonsburg’s record to 5-4 this season. The Lady Blackcats will next face Martin County tonight with a 6:30 p.m. start.

No other area girls soccer games were played.
