The Pike Central Lady Hawks put together a strong all-around performance Thursday night, picking up a 65-41 win over the East Ridge Lady Warriors.
Pike Central had four players reach double figures, with one coming away with a double-double. Cydney Snodgrass led the way, finishing with 22 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Lady Hawks on both ends of the floor.
Gracie Ratliff followed with 13 points, while Kenzi Lyons added 12 and Jadyn Looney chipped in 11 as Pike Central spread the scoring load throughout the night.
As a team, the Lady Hawks shot 46.4 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from three-point range, and 56.2 percent from the free-throw line. Pike Central also controlled the boards, pulling down 43 rebounds.
East Ridge was led offensively by Kourtlee Keene, who finished with 21 points, while Olivia Stanley added 10. The Lady Warriors shot 40 percent from the field and 27.8 percent from beyond the arc, and did not attempt a free throw. East Ridge finished the night with 19 rebounds.
The win improves Pike Central to 3-3 on the season, while East Ridge falls to 1-5.
Pike Central will be back in action Saturday, Dec. 27, when the Lady Hawks travel to Berea to compete in the Giovanni’s Pizza Berea Holiday Classic with a 1 p.m. tip. East Ridge will return home Sunday, Dec. 21, hosting Lee County at 3:30 p.m.
