Breathitt County, Ky: State and local officials are celebrating the impending arrival of a new company in Breathitt County, which will put the “grow” in “job growth.” Indoor farming startup Hydroponic Farms USA announced last week its intention to construct a 44 million dollar greenhouse on reclaimed mine land in Jackson. The facility would span 42 acres, with over 35 acres of production space devoted to growing leafy greens, tomatoes, peppers and other produce. The company expects to employ 121 people at the greenhouse.
