Groups seek to identify Pike’s long-term flood recovery needs

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Pike County Relief Services is partnering with World Renew to conduct an assessment of long-term recovery needs as a result of the July 2022 floods. This is an important step in working with the families in Pike County to see that all available services have been applied for and that their long-term needs have been identified.

Pike County Relief Services is a community-based organization in Pike County that was established after the July 2022 floods in order to help homeowners who, after insurance and government benefits. still need help in order to recover.



The World Renew team will be in the area from Feb. 6-17 and will be providing a walk-in center at Dorton Community Center, 112 Dorton Hill Rd, Pikeville, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. World Renew teams will be wearing green shirts with the World Renew logo and will be wearing identification.
