HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Betsy Layne snaps two-game skid, beats Fairview

Betsy Layne bounced back nicely from back-to-back road losses by beating Fairview, 43-7, at Bobcat Stadium on Friday night.

Quarterback Chase Mims passed for 288 yards and four touchdowns as the Bobcats improved to 7-2 and beat the Eagles for a third straight time in five meetings.

Running backs Austin Tackett and Dylon Williams added a rushing touchdown along with Mims, who had 77 yards on five  carries. Tackett followed with 70.

Receiver Nicholas Howell caught four passes for 81 yards and a pair of scores while Reese Music and Brady Robinson each hauled in a TD pass.

Marcus and Brady Hall each recovered a fumble.

Betsy Layne will close out the regular season on the road at Floyd Central (2-8) on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
