HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Bulldogs secure second seed with win over Jags

Lawrence County took charge early on against Floyd Central and rolled to a 47-7 win in a district matchup played at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Field on Friday night.

Running back Blue Fletcher ran for 113 yards and four touchdowns as the Bulldogs improved to 7-2. Douglas Hall led the ground attack with 149 yards on nine rushing attempts and one score.

Lawson Baisden added a rushing touchdown and Alex Strickland returned a fumble for a touchdown.

Floyd Central quarterback Max Martin rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown as the Jaguars fell to 2-8.
