Letcher Central erased a 27-point halftime deficit only to have Hazard score on a touchdown pass with time running out to stun the Cougars, 52-50, in a game played at Daniel Field on Friday night. 

Quarterback Max Pelfrey tossed a 35-yard TD pass to Landon Smith for the game winner. 

Central rallied behind the play of quarterback Jonah Little. He passed for a pair of touchdowns and rushed 24 times for 249 yards and four scores. 

Receiver Keaston Branham hauled in four passes for 73 yards and two scores. 

Keaton Day added a safety and the Cougars, now 2-2, converted on five, two-point conversion tries. 

The Cougars will host Breathitt County (3-1) on Friday night. Kickoff from Cougar Field is 7:30 pm.
