HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Peck era begins with road win at Lafayette

First-year Johnson Central head coach Jesse Peck was presented his first win as the Golden Eagles went on the road to Lafayette and dominated in rolling to a 37-8 win in Lexington on Friday night.

Running back Zack McCoart ran for 186 yards and three touchdowns as Johnson Central amassed 460 yards, all on the ground.

Carter Conley finished with 117 yards and one score on 18 carries while Chase Price added 98 yards and two touchdowns on 11 rushes.

Johnson Central will return to action at Fern Creek (1-0) on Aug. 26. Kickoff is set for 6 pm.
