HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Short-handed Eagles fall to Rock Creek

Rock Creek (Md.) Christian Academy scored the go-ahead touchdown with less than seven minutes remaining to beat Johnson Central, 22-14, in a matchup played at Eagle Field on Friday night.

The Golden Eagles, played without running backs Mason Lawson and Zack McCoart in falling to 3-2.

Running back Chase Price ran for 61yards on 20 carries and one touchdown. Quarterback Grant Rice added a touchdown run.

Carter Conley led the Golden Eagles with 80 yards on 18 rushing attempts.

All three Rock Creek touchdowns came on one-play drives.

The Golden Eagles are idle this week before hosting Clay County ((3-1) on Oct. 1.
