Shelby Valley was eliminated in the All “A” classic softball state tournament quarterfinals as Russellville defeated the Bat Kats, 10-2, in a game played at Jack Fisher Park in Owensboro on Sunday.

The Bat Kats fell behind early to the Lady Panthers and the hill was too high to climb.
Losing pitcher Emily Adkins had a pair of doubles and scored one run while Kyra looney doubled in one run. Lily Napier singled, walked and added an RBI.

The Bat Kats gave up three runs in the fifth inning and Green County held on for a 3-2 win.
Riley Fleming had two hits, including a double, and scored one run. Emily Adkins added an RBI double. Lindsey Reed scored one run.
Lily Napier suffered the tough-luck loss.

Riley Fleming had an RBI groundout in a three-run, first inning and then added a three-run homer in the fifth to lead the offensive charge.
Winning pitcher Emily Adkins tripled, scored, and batted in one run while Josie Adkins added two hits, scored once, and added an RBI.
Kyra Looney had an RBI single while Macy Salyers added two hits and scored two runs. Lily Napier doubled and singled.
