PAINTSVILLE, Ky. – The man accused of shooting and killing a Johnson County man last month appeared in court this week. 50 year old Walter Lee Curtis, who turned himself in to authorities Friday after nearly two weeks on the run, was arraigned in a Johnson County courtroom on a charge of murder. Police say Curtis shot and killed 58 year old Mike Jones outside a home in the Flat Gap community on August 27th. Walter Lee Curtis is scheduled to appear back in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing, where more details should be released about the case.
