Thanks to a donation, one of Pike County’s finest officers will be more protected from harm.

Pike County Sheriff’s Office K-9 “Copper” will now be sporting a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to Vested Interest in K9’s Incorporated, a non-profit organization who works to provide the vest to law enforcement dogs throughout the country.
The vest was embroidered with “In Memory of K9 Rocco”, a member of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police who was killed in the line of duty.
Pike County Sheriff Rodney Scott says “Copper” is a valued member of their office.
The vest is valued at more than $1,700.
