Kentucky sees COVID cases continue to fall

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Coronavirus cases continue to fall in Kentucky.

The state reported just over 7,000 new cases over the weekend, which is down more than 1,500 over the previous weekend. That brings the total to nearly 363,000.

The death toll now stands at 3,745, after 134 more Kentuckians died over the weekend.

The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 has now fallen to just over 1,300, with 354 in intensive care and 173 on ventilators.

The state’s positivity rate now stands at 8.81 percent.
