Johnson man indicted on federal drug, gun charges

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County man arrested last year after deputies found a wide assortment of drugs at his home has now been indicted in federal court.

Timothy Morman, 54, of Flat Gap, was arrested back in September, after the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office searched his home following a tip. Deputies came away with meth, heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, LSD and marijuana.

On Thursday, a federal grand jury charged him with possession of meth, fentanyl, cocaine and oxycodone with the intent to distribute, felon in possession of a firearm and use of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime.

If convicted of using a gun in a drug crime, he could be sentenced to life in prison.
