Knott man wins Jeep in KSP raffle

FRANKFORT, Ky. — An Eastern Kentucky man is the winner of this year’s Kentucky State Police raffle to benefit Trooper Island.

Clayton Sandlin, of Knott County, accepted the keys to a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon from State Police Commissioner Rodney Brewer, at the KSP Training Center on Tuesday.

This year’s raffle raised $212,000 for Trooper Island by selling more than 27,000 tickets — a new record.

Troop Island is a free summer camp for underprivileged children on Dale Hollow Lake, in Clinton County.
