Knott voters ‘uncommitted’ in Dem presidential primary

Knott County Democrats appear “uncommitted” in Tuesday’s primary election.

According to unofficial results from Tuesday’s primary, Knott County’s Democratic voters cast 153 “uncommitted” votes in the Democratic Presidential Primary, topping the total cast for former Vice President Joe Biden, who garnered 140 votes. Bernie Sanders, who ended his campaign earlier this year, received 47 votes.

In the race for Supreme Court Justice in the 7th Supreme Court District, Letcher County’s Sam Wright received more than 52 percent of the vote, garnering 385 votes. His opponents, 20th Circuit Court Judge Robert Conley and State Rep. Chris Harris, received 188 votes and 154 votes, respectively.
