Floyd County Democrats gave a narrow edge to Amy McGrath in Tuesday’s primary election, but the winner of the race to determine who will challenge Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has yet to be determined.
According to unofficial results from Tuesday’s primary, Amy McGrath led Charles Booker by five votes, 204 to 199, in the U.S. Senate Democratic Primary. It was the most narrow result shown by the numbers that were available Tuesday evening out of Floyd County, but election results will not be certified until June 30 due a record number of absentee and other ballots.
