The 2nd death caused by COVID-19 in Laurel County, KY has been confirmed by health officials.

According to a post by the Laurel County Health Department, Mark Hensley, Executive Director of the Laurel County Health Department has confirmed a 2nd Laurel County resident has died as a result of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. The post asks that you keep the family of this individual in your thoughts and prayers.

No information on the identity of these patients were released, although the first death was reported that underlying health conditions might have been a factor.
