WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The Mingo County Health Department has set its next drive-through coronavirus testing event.
According to a statement from the health department, drive-through testing will be conducted beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 17 at the Larry Joe Harless Community Center in Gilbert. The center is located at 202 Larry Joe Harless Drive.
The tests will be administered free of charge to the patient.

According to the statement, like last week’s event in Williamson, testing will be conducted following a pre-screening conducted by phone. Those experiencing fever, cough and shortness of breath or those that have been in close contact with a confirmed case, the statement says, are encouraged to call (304) 664-6270 or (304) 235-3570 through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pre-screening. After-hours callers should leave their names and phone numbers with the health department’s answering service.
Those without symptoms or those who do meet pre-determined testing criteria will not be eligible for drive-through testing, the statement says. Appointments for testing will be booked until Thursday.
