Letcher County, Ky: The Letcher County School District is dealing with yet another possible threat situation. According to a post on the Letcher Central High School Facebook page, the school received information Monday after the conclusion of the school day that a student had threatened another student. The post stated that an investigation got underway, and a follow-up post indicated that “this event proved to have no merit”. The incident follows several over the past week and a half at Letcher Central that resulted in classes being cancelled for two days while officials investigated possible threats. Yesterday’s Facebook posts emphasized that there was no new threat made against the school.
