Letcher man charged in 5 indictments now faces federal drug charges

WHITESBURG, Ky. — A Letcher County man currently awaiting trial on organized crime, drug, witness tampering and numerous other charges now faces a federal indictment related to meth trafficking.

Roger Lee Miles, 51, of Thornton, is charged with possessing meth with intent to distribute it.

Because one of the charges involves more than 50 grams of the drug, he faces up to 40 years in jail if convicted.

Miles is currently being held in the Letcher County jail, awaiting trial on five separate indictments.
