MAYKING, Ky. — Police are investigating after a Letcher County man died following an apparent lawnmower accident.

It happened just after 5 Wednesday evening, at a home on Wild Fox Drive, at Mayking. Charles C. Hall, 59, was cutting grass on a riding mower, when the mower overturned, trapping him underneath.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he died a short time later.

Kentucky State Police continues to investigate the incident.
