SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — A Magoffin County woman has been indicted after being accused of exploiting a vulnerable adult.
Courtney Leigh Arnett, 31, is charged with knowing exploiting an adult and theft by failure to make required disposition of property. Each charge is punishable by 5-to-10 years in prison.
The indictment accuses Arnett of financially exploiting the adult’s finances in December 2018 and January 2019.
Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s Medicaid Fraud Unit investigated the case and presented it to a Magoffin County grand jury for indictment.
Arnett was arrested on Saturday and has since been released on bond.
She is scheduled to appear in court April 20.
