Deputies were called to a home over a report of domestic violence. When officers arrive, the saw Mary Gipson, 44, walk by and around a building to avoid them. A deputy had previously arrested Gipson for drug possession, so he went to ask her about the incident and check on her.

While they were talking, a puppy named Fred came by and knocked over her insulated drinking cup, at which time the deputy noticed the inside of the cup was only half as deep as the outside. An examination of the cup revealed a false bottom which concealed two bags of meth, two bags of fentanyl, five bags of heroin, and a bag containing an assortment of pills.

Police also found meth, marijuana and digital scales inside her home.

Gipson was arrested and charged with five counts of drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville on a 25-thousand dollar cash bond.
